The vision for the DeKalb E.M.B.A.R.C. Youth Farm was birthed from the notion that when you engage, educate and empower youth with life skills and opportunities to grow - they thrive. E.M.B.A.R.C. takes a holistic approach to youth development through urban farming and entrepreneurship. At the core of what we do is life skills and leadership. All programs, events and the country store follows the Junior Achievement model where Youth Farm participants are compensated for their time as workers on the farm.

At the E.M.B.A.R.C. country store Youth Farm participants will sell pickled okra, jams, jellies and freshly harvested vegetables, eggs, honey and organic compost. The ultimate goals of EMBARC is to cultivate not only the soil, but the lives of each Youth Farm participant as we create a safe place for young minds to grow and explore nature.
